JULY 2010

Office Walk around Lowther, Whale & Askham

At the beginning of July, after a hard day in the office, about 20 of us plus 3 dogs had a very pleasant circular walk from Askham village.  We ended up at the Queens Head and enjoyed drinks outside (a rare occasion this summer) and a very nice meal.  As we always say, we must do this more often!

Lissa Brogden has recently been awarded the APIL Certificate in Personal Injury Law in recognition of her experience in this field. Penrith born, Lissa joined Arnison & Co Solicitors in 1996. The company is keen to foster home grown talent to serve its growing client base.

MARCH 2010

Julie (Richardson) gave birth to a daughter, Kelsey, on March 4th at Kendal hospital. Congratulations to Julie & Andrew. Julie was the legal cashier at Arnisons for 22 years and we now welcome Sally Hanna, from Brough, who has taken over this position.

Michelle Finnigan, the Estate Agency manager, is now on maternity leave until the autumn.  Rachel Storey will be acting manager whilst she is away.

FEBRUARY 2010

Recent achievements...

Jonathan Richardson has recently been admitted to the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).  Jonathan has qualified for this prestigious membership by the experienced practioners route, due to his 20 years experience in dealing with Probate, Wills & Trusts.

...and congratulations are also in order to Trevor Price (Director) who has achieved membership of the Association of Contentious Trusts & Probate Solicitors (ACTAPS).

JUNE 2009

Several members of staff and friends reached the summit of Steel Knots - a craggy peak at the far end of Ullswater, above Howtown.  A steady drizzle accompanied them most of the way which produced a cooling effect on those who were less fit!  Afterwards a hearty meal was enjoyed at the ‘Sun Inn' Pooley Bridge.  Timmy, the youngest & smallest member, amazed his fellow walkers by consuming an enormous plate of chilli con carne and then demanding sticky toffee pudding!
